Patēr • Father (2024)
How do we navigate the bitter-sweet beauty of grief?
Patēr (πατὴρ) • Father (2024), reflects on memories and explores testimony. Patēr, meaning Father, aims to honour Anna’s father, John, who passed in 2023. John's life of creativity, activism, and love has been a clear starting point for Anna in the creation of this piece.
A 'first-draft' was originally shared as a 10 minute work-in-progress as part of the NEXT 2023/24 Choreography Programme at Siobhan Davies Studios in March 2024. With Hallomai Dance, Anna shared a 'second-draft' as part of Wandsworth Arts Fringe and has been preparing an extended version following this for later in 2024/25.

Unity In Motion (2024)
Unity in Motion, a community-led performance, was created and shared during Wandsworth Arts Fringe 2024. The piece, involving eleven non-professional dancers, explored the theme of togetherness, and our thoughts on unity and connection. Through six, 45-minute creative sessions, our dancers explored the use of props and improvisation, and learnt new choreography.
Duration: Approximately 15 minuntes
Age Recommendation: 7+
'It was lovely to see people's personality come through in the piece.'
'I've absolutely loved this event - highlight of my week. What a beautiful community.'
'A real reminder of how dance can create community. An expression of humanity, so primal, expressive and joyful. Thank you.'
This project was funded by the Wandsworth Arts Fringe Grant. This grant help artists, makers and community groups realise their creative visions for the festival and engage with Wandsworth communities.
